kreativ | kollektiv is an initiative by Kata Ovari. As a Hungarian having spent her early childhood in Accra, then a stint working on a Greek Island, ultimately landing in London, she has an innate and deep appreciation of diversity and multiculturalism. As well as a passion for arts and culture, nurtured from a young age by a single mum. She grew frustrated by a gruelling period in her early career to find a position that wasn’t dependent on pre-existing networks, or a privileged socio-economic background.

Kata’s background is rooted in the cultural and the creative industries, with a strong focus on business operations. Alongside developing a strong commercial acumen, she has been active in London’s social impact space and has an understanding of and passion for fostering a more inclusive, equitable, and ethical environment for early-stage businesses that are better for people and planet. She now wants to work with her fellow creatives to forge their own routes through entrepreneurial activity. Hoping that in return their companies will drive positive impact, embrace inclusive hiring and employment practices, making it easier for the next generation of underprivileged creative jobseekers.
